The SP901 – Colt Modular Carbine

This is our first look at the civilian version of the Colt Modular Carbine cal. 7.62mm. It is called SP901 with a patent-pending AR (AR-10/AR-15)-format “universal” multi-caliber lower receiver and conversion system.  The SP901 has ambidextrous controls – safety/selector switch, bolt catch hold-open/release lever and magazine release button. Release date for this carbine is early 2011.
