EXETER, N.H. (July 16, 2012) — Max Michel, Jr., once again showed why he’s one of the fastest shooters in the world on steel targets. Shooting under the unique rules of the Pro-Am Championship, the SIG SAUER® team captain battled the clock as well as the competition en route to the title.
The Pro-Am is an all-steel match where shooters have a set par time to hit as many targets as possible. The scoring is simple: knock down a target for a point. Once time expires, no targets are counted. With just two divisions of the world’s best shooters going head-to-head, the competition is strong for the title.
“While still challenging, the Pro-Am is one of the most fun matches I get to shoot each year,” Michel said. “The stages are set up for pure run-and-gun speed shooting and the par times push me to keep going flat-out.”
Shooting in the Open Pro division, Michel finished with a final score of 254 targets down, 12 targets more than the runner-up.
Next up for Michel is the Area 3 Championship in August at the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, NE.
