LOS OSOS, Calif. – Rob Vlastelica of Congers, N.Y. claimed the Limited division title at the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts’ (ICORE) Smith & Wesson East Coast Regional Revolver Championship this past weekend at the Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club in New Tripoli, Pa.
Vlastelica, who led the match from start to finish, won five of the eight stages in the match and finished 30.15 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor, Bryan Murphy of Port Orange, Fla., with a final time of 204.48 seconds.
“Rob shot an excellent match and I join with the rest of the Wheelgun Nation in extending ICORE’s heartfelt congratulations on a job well done,” said Ron Joslin of ICORE.
Rounding out the top five in Limited division competition were Murphy in second with two stage wins and a time of 234.63 seconds, Rob Naulty of Birdsboro, Pa. in third one stage win and 247.15 seconds, Vincent Hlavinka Jr. in fourth with 257.48 and Bruce Warren of East Leroy, Mich. in fifth with a time of 275.25.
Elsewhere in the Limited division, Johanna Lenczewska of Hellertown, Pa. finished in sixth place and as the top woman in the division with a time of 298.88 seconds.
The Smith & Wesson East Coast Regional Revolver Championship was the fourth of seven events in the 2011 ICORE Regional Series presented by Smith & Wesson. The next event is the Smith & Wesson Southern Regional Revolver Championship on October 7-9 in Byram, Miss. at the Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club range.
