BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Randi Rogers of Team Comp-Tac and Team Smith & Wesson claimed the Ladies title at the 2015 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals this past weekend in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Rogers, who competed in the Stock Service Pistol division, finished with a final time of 247.46 seconds while shooting 75 points down. This is the seventh time Rogers has taken the Ladies title at the Indoor Nationals.
“Randi is one of the very best shooters in IDPA, and not just among the women. She holds multiple national and world titles in the shooting sports and we’re proud to recognize her among IDPA’s best,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.
Finishing second behind Rogers was fellow Smith & Wesson shooter Julie Golob who also competed in the SSP division and shot the match in 267.52 seconds with 86 points down. Third place went to Enhanced Service Pistol division shooter Joanna Lenczewska with 314.61 (133). Katie Rowe finished fourth with 382.04 (161) in SSP while Danielle Vermeulen rounded out the top five shooting a final time of 398.74 (142) in the Custom Defensive Pistol division.
Smith & Wesson has hosted the IDPA Indoor National Championship on the indoor ranges of their Shooting Sports Center for 18 years. One of the most popular matches on the IDPA competition calendar, the Indoor Nationals serves as the official start of the IDPA season.
