EXETER, N.H. (June 20, 2011) — Max Michel, Jr., continues his preparation for the International Practical Shooting Confederation’s World Shoot in late September. This week found the Team SIG SAUER® captain in Rhodes, Greece, where he brought home second place at the Greek Nationals.
“European matches require a different approach than those in the United States,” Michel said. “The experience I gained both on and off the course will help me perform better at the World Shoot.”
In general, European courses of fire are longer and place a greater premium on accuracy, Michel said. “Over the longer stages, the little inefficiencies quickly add up,” he said. “To score well, you’ve got to be precise in your motions as well as your shooting.”
Michel finished with a score of 899.9373 or 91.85%. His next match will be the Pro-Am Championship in Frostproof, Fla., July 16-18.
