Lentz Repeats With SSR Win At 2014 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – With a final time of 240.18 seconds with 78 points down, Team Smith & Wesson’s Josh Lentz captured the Stock Service Revolver title for the second year in a row and the fourth time in his career competing in the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship.

Lentz, who also shoots for the XS Sight Systems shooting team and is a Distinguished Master within the division, previously won the SSR title in 2010, 2011 and 2013.

“Josh finished with another outstanding performance, bringing his total number of Indoor National title wins to four – a record that I am sure will grow larger and larger over the coming years,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.

Finishing second behind Lentz was Ken Ortbach who placed first Expert with a time of 260.30 (70). Joe Linskey, the SSR Distinguished Master who won the title in 2012, finished third with 262.00 (91). Rounding out the top five were Caleb Giddings, first Master, with 288.79 (125) and Juan Cheng with 289.72 (100).

Elsewhere in the division Matt Holmes captured first Sharpshooter with 310.12 (90) while Francis Dufault took first Marksman with 450.06 (227).

The 2014 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship took place February 20-22 at the Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center in Springfield, Mass., drawing many of the shooting sports’ top pistol and revolver shooters from across the country and outside the U.S. Full results are available online at IDPA.com.
