SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — The Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA), the national governing body for the sport of Speed Shooting and organizer of the Steel Challenge, announced that firearms makers Browning, Glock and Ruger have all signed on as gold level sponsors of the 2010 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships.
“The Steel Challenge has always enjoyed strong support from the firearms industry and these three manufacturers, Browning, Glock and Ruger, are among the best known and most highly regarded brands in America, as well as worldwide,” said Tammy Mowry, Steel Challenge sponsor coordinator.
“We are proud to add Browning, Glock and Ruger to the growing list of companies supporting the 2010 Steel Challenge and appreciate their generous support of this match and the shooting sports as a whole.”
Browning, Glock and Ruger join the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Smith & Wesson, Safariland and Sig Sauer as major sponsors of the 2010 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships.
The 2010 Steel Challenge will take place August 19 through 22 in Piru, Calif., and will showcase the talents of the best shooters as they vie for the title of world’s fastest gun.
Since the first Steel Challenge in 1981, the World Speed Shooting Championships have grown into the premier exhibition of speed shooting in the world and routinely draws the fastest shooters from around the globe.
