LOS OSOS, Calif. – The final winner in the 2011 ICORE Regional Series promotion sponsored by Smith & Wesson is Franco Innocenti of Queensland, Australia, the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts (ICORE) announced today.
Innocenti, who competed in the Super Senior category at the Australia Regional where he finished 19th in the Limited division and 55th overall, has won a Smith & Wesson Model 22A pistol.
As part of the 2011 ICORE Regional Series presented by Smith & Wesson, the Springfield, Mass. based company donated five firearms to be given away through a random drawing open to all the competitors that participated in the series.
“The 2011 ICORE Regional Series was a great success, and that’s due in no small part to the generous support of Smith & Wesson,” said Art Leach of ICORE. “When it comes to revolver competition, no other company has played such an important role in sponsoring matches and growing the sport as Smith & Wesson. On behalf of the competitors, and all ICORE members, the ICORE Board of Directors extends its deepest appreciation to Smith & Wesson.”
Earlier this week ICORE announced that David Kim of Newtown, Pa. won an M&P 15-22 rifle, Kerry Bailey of Gretna, La. won a Model 617 revolver, Frank Le Crone of Plainfield, Ind. won an M&P 15-22 rifle and Aaron Foulk of Woodbridge, Va. won his choice of either a Smith & Wesson Model 686 or Model 617 revolver.
The 2011 ICORE Regional Series presented by Smith & Wesson consisted of seven events, including the Australia Regional Revolver Championship held October 14-16 in Brisbane, Australia.
