Dolio Crowned King of New England After Smith & Wesson Live Free Or Die IDPA Championship

Dolio-PR-1BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Dave Dolio won the King of New England Stock Service Pistol title after his second place finish at the Smith & Wesson Live Free Or Die State IDPA Championship this past weekend.

Dolio, who finished second to the Live Free Or Die’s SSP champion, Rob Lacroix, finished the match as first Master with six stage wins and a final time of 281.79 (83), giving him the King of New England title with a final combined time of 300.81 seconds.

Presented by Apex Tactical Specialties, the King of New England series recognizes the top shooters competing in the Massachusetts State Championship, the New England Regional and the Live Free Or Die, with the title going to the competitor with the top cumulative score, in their division, from four pre-selected stages from each of the three championships.

Dolio went into this weekend’s Live Free Or Die with a clear lead in the King of New England contest after winning the SSP title at both the Massachusetts State Championship and the New England Regional.

“Dave has had a great season and here in New England he’s usually the guy to beat. I want to join the rest of his subjects in congratulating him on being crowned the King of New England,” said Ken Lambert, match director for the Smith & Wesson Live Free Or Die.

Elsewhere in the SSP division contest at the Live Free Or Die, Mason Lane took first Expert and High Junior with 316.67 (72). Lee Adams won High Military Veteran with 329.48 (106).
