LOS OSOS, Calif. – Roger Davis of Hanna, Okla. won the Open division title at the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts’ (ICORE) 6th Annual Smith & Wesson Southern Regional Revolver Championship hosted by the Revolver Association of Mississippi on October 7-9 at Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club in Florence, Miss.
Davis, who posted the fastest time on six of the ten stages, finished the match with a final time of 231.39 to win the division and place second overall.
Second place in the Open division went to Jeff Blackmon who took top honors on two stages on his way to a final time of 242.80 seconds, placing him fifth among all competitors in all three divisions.
“With six of ten stage wins, it’s clear that Roger shot an excellent match and it’s no wonder that he led the field from start to finish,” said Ron Joslin of ICORE.
Rounding out the top five were Bud Berthold in third place with two stage wins and a time of 252.37, Mark Kugler in fourth with 269.62 and Mike Marque in fifth with 277.19.
