BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Colt’s shooting team member Mark Redl won High Senior at the 2015 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals this past weekend in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Redl competed as a Master in the Custom Defensive Pistol division where he finished fourth, and 18th overall out of the more than 320 shooters competing in the championship. He shot 71 points down and posted a final time of 243.58 seconds.
“Congratulations to Mark and Team Colt on taking High Senior at this year’s Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals. Mark faced off against some very strong shooters and held on to take the title,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.
Second place in the race for the Senior title went to Team Smith & Wesson’s Jerry Miculek who competed in the Enhanced Service Revolver division with 263.81 (80). Bob Biehl, another CDP shooter, finished third with 268.23 (50). Rounding out the top five were Walt Proulx competing in CDP with 276.48 (108) and Scott Warren who finished with 280.05 (122) while competing in the Enhanced Service Pistol division.
Smith & Wesson has hosted the IDPA Indoor National Championship on the indoor ranges of their Shooting Sports Center for 18 years. One of the most popular matches on the IDPA competition calendar, the Indoor Nationals serves as the official start of the IDPA season.
