LOS OSOS, Calif. – Craig Buckland of Sandisfield, Mass. won six of eight stages and finished sixth overall with a score of 179.00 as he claimed the Classic division title at the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts’ (ICORE) 3rd Annual Smith & Wesson New England Regional Revolver Championship on October 23 at the Watervliet Fish & Game Protective Association in Guilderland, N.Y.
Buckland, one of the top Classic division shooters in ICORE, outpaced his nearest competitor, Bob DeMarchi of Prospect, Conn., by 43.5. DeMarchi finished the match with one stage win and a final score of 222.50 followed by Joe Linskey of Newington, Conn., also with one stage win, with 223.61, David Dolio of Monroe, Conn. with 258.93 and Michael Eisenhower of Westford, Mass. rounding out the top five with a score of 287.62.
“Craig is one of ICORE’s top shooters, and certainly when it comes to the Classic division revolver,” said Ron Joslin of ICORE. “In addition to being one of our top guns, Craig is also one of our best ambassadors,working tirelessly to expand the ranks of Classic division shooters.”
The 3rd Annual Smith & Wesson New England Regional Revolver Championship was the seventh and final event of the 2011 ICORE Regional Series presented by Smith & Wesson.
