The retired Marine sniper Bob Lee Swagger is back in Stephen Hunter’s latest book “I,Sniper”. When four famous figures are killed in a series of sniper attacks, Swagger discovers that they have a common thread: each one was involved in the anti-war movement of the 1960s. Joan Flanders, an Oscar-winning actress, is gunned down while lunching in the Hamptons, Jack Strong and Mitzi Reilly, former radicals, are killed in their car near their Hyde Park home and Comedian Mitch Greene, is murdered while performing in Cleveland. Swagger is so surprised by how neat and tidy the four killers are, he immediately sets out to find who is responsible for the carnage. Another masterful piece of writing by an author who is loved by shooters, hunters and gun owners in general. Stephen is a gun guy and it shows in his writing. In the middle of December and during the filming of a new episode of Shooting Gallery airing in 2010, Stephen Hunter and Michael Bane sat down to talk about the new book which will be released on December 29.
