BERRYVILLE, Ark. – The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) announced that Apex Tactical Specialties will be a major sponsor of the sold-out 2014 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship.
Now in its 17th year, the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals will take place February 20-22 on the indoor ranges of the Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
As a returning sponsor, Apex joins the National Shooting Sports Foundation and Smith & Wesson, the title sponsor, in supporting the match. As part of their support, Apex will sponsor one of the 13 stages in the course of fire.
“Apex Tactical Specialties has been very generous in their support for IDPA and we’re pleased to welcome them back as a sponsor of IDPA’s most popular matches, the Smith & Wesson Indoor Nationals,” said Robert Ray, membership and marketing director for IDPA.
“The Smith & Wesson Indoor Nationals is IDPA’s hottest match and a great way to kick-off the start of each competition season. Apex is proud to again partner with IDPA to help bring great matches, like this one, to the IDPA calendar,” said Scott Folk of Apex.
The Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship represents the official start of IDPA’s competition season and is regarded as one of the finest competitive shooting matches in the country, thanks to industry support from companies like Apex Tactical Specialties.
More than 300 of the sport’s best shooters are expected to compete for titles in Custom Defensive Pistol, Enhanced Service Pistol, Stock Service Pistol, Stock Service Revolver and Enhanced Service Revolver, the five divisions within IDPA.
