BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Joe Linskey won eight of the 13 stages to outpace his nearest competitor by over 60 seconds on his way to winning the Stock Service Revolver division title at the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals this past weekend in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Linskey, who won the Indoor title previously in 2012, and is one of a handful of Distinguished Masters in IDPA, finished the match in a final time of 281.75 seconds while shooting 49 points down.
“It is great to see Joe return to the winner’s circle at the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor Nationals. Joe is an accomplished revolver shooter as evidenced by his victory here in Springfield,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.
Taking second in the division was Joel Penney with 348.30 and 97 points down. Chris DeForge took third with 350.05 and 90 points down while Wil Cournoyer and John Iacomini rounded out the top five with 353.37 (66) and 358.13 (96) respectively.
Smith & Wesson has hosted the IDPA Indoor National Championship on the indoor ranges of their Shooting Sports Center for 18 years. One of the most popular matches on the IDPA competition calendar, the Indoor Nationals serves as the official start of the IDPA season.
