Michael Birch Hired as Action Target’s New CEO

PROVO, Utah – February 25, 2014 – Michael Birch has been hired as Action Target Inc.’s new CEO. Birch joins Action Target with a wealth of experience as a results-driven executive. Prior to his hiring, Birch was the Vice President and General Manager at Boart Longyear, the world’s largest mineral exploration drilling company. In this position, Birch more than doubled the revenue and hired over 2,500 employees in 40 countries to achieve this growth. He has a track record for developing and executing strategic business plans, growing revenues, increasing profits and maximizing shareholder value.

Birch started his career at Black & Decker where he worked in various sales and marketing leadership roles, culminating in his position as General Manager of Baldwin Hardware. While at Black & Decker, Birch was also a part of a leadership team that launched the DeWalt Industrial Power Tool brand in the U.S. and Europe. The DeWalt story is now a case study used by the best business schools across the county. Birch received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University.
