SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Jim Martino captured the High Senior title at the 2014 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship this past weekend in Springfield, Mass.
Martino, who competed as a Master in the Enhanced Service Pistol division, finished with a final time of 225.47 seconds with 89 points down.
“Jim shot a terrific match against a top flight list of competitors. The race for the Senior title is always a challenging one and Jim showed he can run with the best of them,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.
Second place in the Senior category went to Eugene Jankowski, a Master in the Stock Service Pistol division, with 238.40 (114). Mark Redl, a Custom Defensive Pistol Master and member of Team Colt, took third with 241.19 (90), while defending champ Scott Warren, an ESP Master, finished fourth with 247.98 (148). SSP Expert shooter Lance Boehlke placed fifth with 253.61 (90).
The 2014 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship took place February 20-22 at the Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center in Springfield, Mass., drawing many of the shooting sports’ top pistol and revolver shooters from across the country and outside the U.S. Full results are available online at IDPA.com.
