EWTOWN, Conn. — When new shooters step up to the firing line in the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s First Shots® program, they’ll be able to quickly acquire an accurate sight picture thanks to the program’s newest sponsor—XS Sight Systems.
NSSF welcomes the addition of XS Sight Systems (www.xssights.com) to the growing list of industry supporters of the First Shots program. XS Sight Systems has pledged its support and sponsorship of First Shots through 2010.
Developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and hosted by independent shooting facilities, First Shots provides men, women and youth with a comprehensive introduction to target shooting by qualified range operators and instructors. Topics covered include firearm safety, local ownership requirements, shooting fundamentals, hands-on instruction and how and where to continue.
“XS Sights is proud to be affiliated with the First Shots program,” said Dave Biggers, vice president, sales and marketing, of XS Sight Systems, Inc.“I don’t think anyone in our industry would disagree that bringing new shooters into our fold is our best bet to continue our traditions of hunting, target and recreational shooting.”
Said Cynthia Dalena, First Shots program manager, “Industry sponsors and the resources they provide allow First Shots to deliver a quality experience to first-time and novice shooters. NSSF thanks XS Sights for its generous support.”
First Shots is one of many NSSF programs working to increase awareness of and participation in the shooting sports. For more information on First Shots, visit www.firstshots.org.
