Running from April 1st through April 30th, the month-long cross-platform promotion is designed to usher in the spring season and provides an opportunity for avid network fans to win thousands of dollars in prizes furnished by Outdoor Channel’s advertising partners.
On-air spots will direct viewers to OutdoorChannel.com to enter the sweepstakes for daily giveaways. In parallel with the OutdoorChannel.com efforts, this year’s Spring Fever promotion will include a social media component as well. Newly rebranded Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages will act as direct forums to inform audiences about Spring Fever in an engaging way.
In addition, Spring Fever allows Outdoor Channel’s cable affiliates to connect with a targeted pool of valuable outdoor enthusiasts. More than 225 participating cable systems nationwide representing over 12 million subscriber households have signed on for the national promotion. Outdoor Channel provided affiliate participants with marketing materials like taggable cross-channel spots and local ad sales vignettes that offer viewers tips on how to make the most of spring outdoor activities. Since Spring Fever’s inception, Outdoor Channel has enrolled over 300,000 consumers.
