Comp-Tac Sponsors This Weekend’s Puerto Rico IDPA Nationals

BERRYVILLE, Ark. – The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) announced that noted holster and accessories manufacturer, the Houston-based Comp-Tac Victory Gear, will be a major sponsor of the 2013 Puerto Rico IDPA National Championship taking place this weekend in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rico IDPA Nationals have received significant support from the shooting sports industry. Along with Comp-Tac Victory Gear, the championship is being sponsored by Blade-Tech, Century International Arms, Fiocchi Ammunition, Fobus Holsters & Pouches, Safariland, Uncle Mike’s Law Enforcement and Smith & Wesson.

“IDPA in Puerto Rico is taking off and, thanks to the generous support of sponsors like Comp-Tac, our National Championship is growing into an important major match for both international and U.S. shooters,” said Max Rivera, match director for the Puerto Rico IDPA Nationals.

Hosted by the RL Shooting Club and organized by Rivera and assistant match director Tom Yost of Smith & Wesson, this year’s Puerto Rico IDPA Nationals will bring together over 150 top shooters from Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the United States and Venezuela. The match will take place on March 16 and 17.

The 2013 Puerto Rico IDPA National Championship will feature a 12-stage course of fire with a round count of 190. Registration for the match is open and slots are still available. The match fee is just $120.
