HOUSTON, Texas – While shooting a new personal best, Team Comp-Tac‘s Randi Rogers once again won the High Lady title at the 2013 Smith and Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship.
This marks the fifth consecutive year that Rogers has won the International Defensive Pistol Association’s national event hosted by Smith & Wesson at the company’s Springfield, Massachusetts shooting facility.
Rogers also finished second out of 24 masters in the Stock Service Pistol division, and 11th overall out of the total 324 competitors. Rogers posted a personal best finish with an overall time of 202.60 seconds.
“I love the unique challenges that the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National presents every year. With low light stages, completely dark stages and a plethora of movers, this was one of the most challenging nationals I have shot. It has always been my goal to compete head-to-head with the male competitors and my performance this weekend put me right in the thick of the match,” said Rogers.
Also competing in the match for Team Comp-Tac was Gordon Carrell who finished second Master in Enhanced Service Pistol division. In addition to the Team Comp-Tac members shooting the match, Comp-Tac Victory Gear supported the match as one of the major sponsors and hosted the social hour prior to the awards banquet.
“The Indoor Nationals is a premier event in the IDPA season and Comp-Tac is proud to be a sponsor and supporter of the match. We’re also extremely proud of how Randi and Gordon performed at this year’s championship,” said Gregg Garrett, owner and president of Comp-Tac. “We look forward to continuing our support for the shooting sports and all second amendment activities in the coming year.”
Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Rogers and Carrell will compete in the Texas Open USPSA State match in Hempstead, Texas March 7-9.
