McLean, VA – August 30, 2012) One of Team FNH USA’s newest shooters Greg Jordan bested a field of 235 competitors in the Pro Tactical Optics division at the largest 3-Gun match of the summer, the 2012 AR15.com ProAm 3-Gun Championship presented by Brownells and Hornady. Jordan then went on to win the 3-Gun Nation shoot-off, earning the top $5,000 prize, courtesy of Surefire.
Greg credits his success this season to diligent training and consistently reliable gear. Greg noted, “In a short, fast match like the ProAm, a little 2 second malfunction can cost you the match. My FNH USA SCAR and SLP performed flawlessly all weekend, which allowed me to focus on shooting without the worry if my gear would run.” Following the match, Greg went on to defeat 3-Gun Nation Pro Tour shooters Keith Garcia, Tyler Payne, and Jerry Miculek and claim his first shoot-off win.
Team FNH USA members Mark Hanish and Erik Lund also shot solid matches in Tactical Optics, finishing in 24th and 38th place respectively.
In just its second year, the AR15.com ProAm has quickly become the must-attend event of the shooting season. Over 500 competitors came to the Rockcastle Shooting Center to shoot two different sets of stages that were scaled appropriately for both professionals and amateurs. A “who’s who of 3-gun”, the weekend presents not just an opportunity to shoot, but also to interact with manufacturers and sponsors, to check out new gear, and to introduce new shooters to the sport.
