Asset Sale of the US Shooting Academy Finalized

Tulsa, Ok, October 26, 2011: The US Shooting Academy (USSA), one of the nations largest and most well respected private firearms training academies, has been sold to local Tulsa businessmen Stephen Dixon, Larry Cheatham, Jr. and Charles Peters.

Dixon, the managing partner, has owned and operated multiple real estate and oil and gas interests for the last forty-years. Cheatham, Jr., a former US Army Officer, is the founder and owner of L&L Machine Guns, a prominent firearms dealer that specializes in fully automatic weapons from around the globe. Peters, a retired US Army Infantry Soldier, most recently owned and operated Safe Home Consulting, a full-service personal and residential security product and service provider.

According to the new owners, they plan to greatly expand USSA’s Retail Pro Shop and services for its current and future members, “we want to make sure that customers know we are here and will be here for a long time.” Peters further stated “it is our goal to make the USSA as accessible as possible to those interested in family outdoor fun, personal protection and firearms skills. The USSA is for everyone, not just our Law Enforcement and Military clients.”

Furthermore, Cheatham stated that USSA would now feature over sixty-60 different machine guns spanning from World War I to the most current weaponry being used on battlefields throughout the world. According to Cheatham, these machineguns will be available for individual and group rental. Furthermore, Cheatham stated that USSA plans on offering the use of these weapons, and their world-class instructors, to businesses looking for a unique and enjoyable corporate team-building event, “USSA looks forward to assisting Green Country corporations in the planning and execution of their next team-building event.”

Both Cheatham and Peters invited everyone to the 1st Annual USSA “Zombie Shoot” this Sunday, October 30th. This event will include family-friendly activities that include a hayrack ride; best costume contest; .22-caliber rifle fun shoot; “Zombie hunter” handgun competition; a trunk or treat sponsored by the Bass Pro Shop, as well as other events.
