GLASGOW, Mont. (January 5, 2014) – Coming off of a recent maternity leave, competition shooter Julie Golob addresses the topics of lead, noise and contaminant exposure in her newly released ePub, “Shooting While Pregnant – A Resource for Expecting Moms.” The information-packed guide also includes alternative training methods and other ways that expectant moms can stay connected to shooting and the shooting sports with less risk.
“There is not exactly a wealth of information out there on the subject of whether or not to shoot while you are pregnant. Women who shoot and hunt aren’t exactly the most studied demographic and pregnant women represent an even smaller segment,” said Golob. “Despite the limited information specific to female shooters, there are resources that can help pregnant shooters make educated decisions on shooting while pregnant, especially with regard to exposure to lead, noise, and other contaminants.”
Golob lists the resources in this interactive eight page booklet, available at her website as a free download at julieg.me/PregnantEBook.
Over the past twenty years, Golob has earned over 120 championship titles in 7 action-shooting disciplines. With her reputed shooting career, and as the captain of Smith & Wesson’s highly successful shooting team, Golob is poised for a comeback in 2014.
Not a stranger to the written word, Golob authored her first book, SHOOT: Your Guide to Shooting and Competition, in 2012. Reviews of SHOOT showcase the book as a not only a valuable resource for current shooting-sports enthusiasts, but also an accessible, relevant and intelligent guide to newcomers to the shooting sports.
